Abstract

This research examines the Golden Visa policy as a tool to support economic diversification through foreign direct investment (FDI) to enhance inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. The Golden Visa is a policy that grants long-term residence permits, including to foreign investors who meet certain criteria. The primary goal of this policy is to attract more FDI, which can be used to develop new sectors and reduce dependence on low-productivity sectors such as services. The influx of foreign capital is expected to boost productivity, innovation, and job creation in various sectors, including information technology, manufacturing, and tourism. This policy is also projected to support inclusive economic growth by ensuring that the benefits of economic growth are enjoyed by all layers of society through increased income and workforce skills. However, the successful implementation of this policy heavily relies on effective regulations, transparency, and mechanisms to ensure that incoming investments truly provide positive impacts on Indonesia's economy. Thus, the Golden Visa policy can become an essential instrument in driving sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia.
