Abstract

This research was conducted at private universities in North Sumatra. The purpose of this research is to find out, study and analyze descriptively and verification of the compensation on the commitment of lecturers. The research sample used a proportional sampling technique with cluster random sampling. The data collection method uses a structured questionnaire or questionnaire method. The research method uses descriptive and verification methods with path analysis techniques. The results of the descriptive study prove that the compensation is in the criteria that are not good enough to be good enough, and commitment is in the criteria that are good enough towards good enough. The research result verificatively proves that compensation is proven to have a positive and significant effect on lecturer commitment.
